Why do you like Russia, Chelyabinsk and SUSU?

– The way SUSU treats its international students is something special. I never feel lonely and I always know where to ask for help. Generally here in Russia the situation is quieter.

What do you remember most about your study? What subjects are your favourite ones?

– Engineering Drawing, Computer Graphics, Economics, Logistics are the most interesting subjects for me as they are my major. But Theoretical Mechanics and Technical Mechanics were quite difficult, I still remember how hard I was trying to pass exams in the subjects with good marks.

How do you plan to use your education in future?

– I am going to come back to my home city and get good work experience. And after that I’d like to try my luck in Russia or maybe even abroad.

What was your greatest challenge about living in Russia?

– I guess it was getting used to studying at the university as freedom and responsibility of a university student was unusual for a yesterday’s schoolboy.

– What was your first impression about South Ural State University?

– Frankly speaking I was a bit afraid seeing this great building - I couldn’t believe I would study at the university. But I managed to enter and it is the best decision I made in my life.

Did the Association of International Students and Center for Sociocultural Adaptation. assist in any questions?

– Of course, they did. They always helped me with any questions about activities I could do after studying, GTO or opportunity to get a Master's degree. Actually, I really wanted to work in AIS.

– Do you take part in students’ life (volunteer center, School of young leaders, sport clubs, dance clubs, choir)?

– My group and I took part in different activities and were quite successful. But my main achievement is that I have passed the GTO regulations.

– What perspectives does a specialist with Russian diploma have in your country?

– In my country diplomas of Russian universities give great opportunities to find a good job and make a career.

– Why do many universities try to attract international students for studying?

– I guess universities try to foster cultures and intercultural exchange and improve the quality of education.

What is the topic of your thesis?

– It is “Сargo delivery route development from Chelyabinsk to Karachi (Pakistan)”.

– What would you wish your compatriots who are choosing a university now?

– I wish them good luck! I am Lezgins and we are the fifth most educated of the 180 peoples of Russia. So just don’t give up, you can do everything!
