Programme description: This programme aims at training specialists with skills in linguistic and sociocultural communication, ready for creative professional activities in scientific and pedagogical and research teams, in educational, cultural, management, mass media and other institutions that organize and regulate social and humanitarian activity.

The workload of Master's degree students in Philology equals 16 academic hours of studying in classes every week. This programme is fulfilled using project-based learning, and also implies the creation of a virtual museum. Classes are held in the evening, and the schedule of consultations with academic advisors is flexible, so students can study alongside working.

Graduates who have mastered this programme can professionally work with:

  • languages (domestic and foreign languages) in their theoretical and practical aspects;
  • literary fiction in its historical and theoretical aspects;

different types of texts: written, oral, and virtual (including hypertext and textual elements of multimedia objects); written and oral communication.

Possibility to take a complete course in higher education in Philology at all levels:

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree programmes, and postgraduate studies (with state-funded scholarships available at any level);
  • Graduates have a right to work in schools;
  • Using of digital methods of training. Students obtain digital competences, and learn how to create content for websites and implement various virtual literature projects.

For this purpose, a Laboratory of Digital Philology was opened at the Department, where it is possible to study texts using specialized computer programs and methods of artificial intelligence. This Master's degree programme is fulfilled using project-based learning. Students gain the experience of creating websites, and competences in the fields of project management, project organization and monitoring. That is why by the time they find a job, they have not only theoretical knowledge, but also skills of using that knowledge in practice in various fields: from teaching to legal services (linguistic examination).
