Research supervisor:

Радченко Г.И.

Gleb I. Radchenko,

Candidate of Science,

South Ural State University

Headline:

Cloud and Fog computing for Digital Twins.

Supervisor’s research interests:

  • Cloud computing, Fog computing, Digital Twins.
  • Distributed computing systems, computational workflows.

Research highlights:

Digital Twins are a critical part of the infrastructure for such systems as “Smart City”, “Smart Industry”, etc. To support data gathering and processing there is a need for complex computational infrastructure, supporting stream data processing, low latency, and specific computational capabilities, which could be provided by Fog and Cloud computing solutions. The research would be supported by the means of the Supercomputer centre of South-Ural State University (http://supercomputer.susu.ru/en/) and would be organized in the collaboration with our international partners, including CICESE Research Center, Mexico.

Supervisor’s specific requirements:

  • Acquaintance with the technologies of distributed computing systems organization,
  • Basics of service-oriented systems design,
  • Acquaintance with the cloud computing concept,
  • Acquaintance with the basics of virtualization and containerization technologies.

Supervisor’s main publications:

7 publications in scientific journals, indexed in WoS/Scopus, including:
