Do I need an official visa invitation?

If you need a visa to enter the Russian Federation, you MUST have an official visa invitation with a “STUDIES” purpose of entry in it. You can apply for a visa invitation ONLY after prepaying the tuition fee. It will be issued in approximately 30 working days. Please note that the invitation is sent by the university, but it is processed by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the process cannot be advanced due to high demand.

What are the accommodation conditions?

SUSU campus is one of the best and the largest in Russia. The dormitory buildings are within walking distance of the educational buildings, various cafes, SUSU medical center, gyms and supermarkets. Comfortable dormitories offer shared rooms for 2-3 people. Cost: approximately 3 000 RUB per month.

Can I work while studying?

NO, as a Foundation course student you are not allowed to work.

Is partial payment available?

NO. Full prepayment is required by August 25, 2026. Please note that you can apply for a visa invitation ONLY after prepaying the tuition fee. It takes at least 30 working days to issue the invitation, therefore, the sooner the prepayment is made the faster you get the invitation letter!

What are the additional expenses?

  • Accommodation: from 3 000 RUB to 12 800 per month (depending on the dormitory class)
  • Medical insurance: 6 000 RUB/year
  • Medical examination and finger printing: 10 000 RUB
  • Visa extension: 6 000 RUB
  • Mobile communication services (SIM card + Internet): ~800 RUB/month
  • Internet (in the dormitory): ~500 RUB/month
  • Food: ~10 000 RUB/month
  • Public transport card: ~3 000 RUB/month
