Tatiana Day (also known as Students Day) will traditionally be celebrated on a grand scale at SUSU. Many have heard of Moscow State University. However, not everyone knows how long the talks about its creation had lasted and what the university and Lomonosov have in common. – Why do we celebrate this holiday on January 13th?

– What New Year traditions do you have in your homeland?
– We get together and give each other presents, prepare traditional dishes for the holiday table. The most important thing is that we are together. New Year is a big family holiday, we are especially happy to see those whom we have not seen for a long time during the year.
– Is there a difference in the customs of our two countries?
Long holidays are over and it is time to get back to studying. How can you help yourself get into a business-like mood and what you should reject in the first days after the holidays?
Post-holiday syndrome usually lasts 7-10 days. The blues after the holidays and long weekends can be accompanied by symptoms of anxiety: insomnia, loss of strength, irritability, difficulty in concentrating, depression, sadness and melancholy. And we have prepared some tips for you.

– New Year is celebrated in your country in February. So, while you live in Russia, you get a chance to celebrate it twice?

In the 2024/2025 academic year, as part of the “Your Move” project, a “Your Move, Mentor” contest was launched, in which mentors of first-year students could participate. Associate Professor of the Department of Digital Economy and Information Technology of the School of Economics and Management Ekaterina Fedyai took the 4th place in Russia, beating more than 1.4 thousand applicants to prize winning.
Mere days are left till the bells in the Kremlin Clock tower will chime and we will great the new year. It will happen very soon. This is a wonderful holiday that every one of us loves since our childhood days. When we think about it, we feel the warmth of our home and remember nice family traditions. And so, as the tradition goes, our big university family reviews the results of the year that is ending and builds plans for the future.
Our university and the plant from Kopeysk have held a ceremony of signing an agreement of mutually beneficial cooperation.
The ceremony was attended by Director General of AO “Zavod "Plastmass"” (Plastic Materials Plant) Alexander Balashov and the Rector of South Ural State University Alexander Wagner.
On December 24th a meeting was held on discussing proposals from the student community as part of the formation of the development strategy of South Ural State University regarding training of engineering personnel and conducting scientific research aimed at ensuring technological leadership.
