Scientists Propose to Heat Greenhouses with the Earth’s Heat

Scientists from the Institute of Engineering and Technology of South Ural State University have proposed using the heat of the earth to increase the quality of energy supply to greenhouses. It will reduce the cost of heating these facilities. The Government supported the study. The research was published in the IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering (Q4).

Young Scientist Awarded an RFBR Grant for a Project on Creating New Composite Materials

A postgraduate student from South Ural State University has been awarded a grant from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. The young scientist is working in a project on the "Modelling of Phase Composition to Develop the Principles of Creating Gradient Materials with Various Functional Properties". The work's main objective is to determine the conditions in which it is possible to create new materials by combining several materials, for instance, metal and ceramics.
