New Year’s in the Tradition of the Island of Sri Lanka: Big Holiday Held at SUSU

Celebration of Alut Avurudu – the national new year in the traditions of the islands of Sri Lanka – was held at SUSU on April 24th. Sri Lankan students introduced university staff, students, and teachers to their national customs. They celebrated their national holiday within the walls of SUSU for the second time.

The KSTATI National Science Festival Wraps Up

The “KSTATI. Coordinate system” science festival wrapped up on April 21st in Chelyabinsk, held in the city for the first time. South Ural State University became the largest venue for this huge event, holding the opening ceremonies for KSTATI and one of the most interesting events within the festival.

С 25 по 30 апреля в ЮУрГУ приезжает для чтения лекций профессор Карлтонского университета (Канада) Джефф Сахадео. Историк и политолог по образованию и профессии Джефф Сахадео возглавляет Институт европейских, русских и евразийских исследований Карлтонского университетом и считается признанным специалистом в области изучений миграций.

Челябинцы продолжают подготовку к «Вальсу Победы»

4 мая 2017 года состоится танцевальный флешмоб с элементами театрального представления, посвящённый 72-летию Великой Победы. Танцевальная акция такого крупного масштаба проводится в Челябинске в третий раз. В «Вальсе Победы» примут участие более 70 пар, как символ очередной годовщины Победы в Великой Отечественной войне. 

В ЮУрГУ пройдет встреча с представителями Инновационного фонда «Сколково»

26 апреля в Южноуральском государственном университете начнется видеоконференция с Инновационным фондом «Сколково». В мероприятии с докладами примут участие сотрудники «Сколково»: Юрий Сибирский и Максим Судаков.

Кроме того, состоится презентация проектов, потенциальных резидентов Инновационного фонда «Сколково» и анализ этих проектов представителями профильных кластеров.

Новый год в традициях острова Шри-Ланка: В ЮУрГУ состоялся большой праздник

24 апреля в ЮУрГУ состоялось празднование Алут Авуруду – национального нового года в традициях острова Шри–Ланка (Цейлон). Шриланкийские студенты познакомить со своими национальными обычаями студентов, преподавателей и сотрудников университета. Отметим, что студенты из Шри-Ланки празднуют свой национальный праздник в стенах ЮУрГУ уже во второй раз. 

200 Thousand to Uncover Scientific Potential: Best Post-Graduate Projects to be Financed

On April 25th at South Ural State University the contest “Scientific Potential – 2017” will begin. The contest is aimed at offering financial assistance to post-graduate students to help them complete their scientific projects and increase the publication activity of the University’s young researchers. Upon completion of their projects, the post-graduates must publish articles in the world’s leading journals.

Applications are being accepted in the following areas of scientific knowledge:

#Shoot: Rock, Paper, Scissors Championship Held at SUSU

On April 24th a Rock, Paper, Scissors championship was held on the square in front of SUSU. The Student Council of the SUSU Higher School of Electronics and Computer Sciences organized the event. This event was held for the first time and a limited number of people participated – 16 people.

“We were holding the event as a sort of test to entertain students,” says competition organizer, Andrey Puschev.
