SUSU International Laboratory: “Our Projects Will Allow to Create the Materials of the Future”

The SUSU Multiscale Modelling of Polyfunctional Compounds Laboratory was created in 2016 within Project 5-100. It is headed by Ph.D., Professor of University of Central Florida, USA, Artem Masunov. The laboratory is conducting research in the intersection of chemistry, materials science and informatics, which aims at studying the properties of chemical bonds and intermolecular interactions.

Pushkin Institute Centres in China Celebrated the Russian Language Day by Reciting Poems and Russian Folk Dancing

On June 6th, the Birthday of Alexander Pushkin, a ceremony of awarding students who had taken part in the calligraphy contest and Nationwide Dictation Quiz was held at Tianjin Foreign Studies University. All the participants were awarded certificates and souvenirs with the Pushkin Institute Centre logo. Students recited poems by Alexander Pushkin and performed Russian songs.

SUSU Sports Club Is Declared Champion by the Association of Russian Student Sports Clubs

The All-Russian Finals of the Championship of the Association of Russian Student Sports Clubs was held in Kazan May 29th through June 2nd. The honour of SUSU and Uralsky Sokol (Ural Falcon) Student Sports Club was being defended by four teams: men’s and women’s 3х3 basketball teams, men’s volleyball and men’s football teams. 
The best student teams were competing for three days. The Uralsky Sokol football team made it to the quarterfinals, but then in close competition lost to the team from Bauman Moscow State Technical University. 

SUSU’s Geoinformation Systems REC is to Complete Digitalization of Land of the Chelyabinsk Region in 2019

Digital technologies are entering our lives in all spheres. They get as well actively applied in agriculture, which is an inextricable part of the Chelyabinsk region. South Ural State University makes special contribution into development of crop cultivation in the region. Geoinformation Systems Research and Education Centre (GIS REC) at SUSU is working on digitalization of the region’s territory in order for a more rational use of land resources, and is planning to make a digital map of the Southern Ural in 2019.

Diplomas Awarded to the MBA Centre’s Graduates

Last week, South Ural State University held a ceremony of awarding diplomas to the graduates of such professional training programmes as Mini-MBA.Practice; and Personnel Management at Enterprises of Various Forms of Incorporation.

These programmes are being fulfilled at the МВА Centre of the SUSU School of Economics and Management. The training implies forming of professional competences, which are necessary for proper performance such type of activity as organization of personnel management.

Dean of the SUSU Faculty of Journalism Headed a Section at a World Congress in Paris

The French version of the web-site of the World Journalism Education Congress, which will be held in Paris, France, this July, has posted information on the program of the Russian section – a round table on Journalism Education in Russia in the Context of Transmedia Development, aimed at exchanging the experience. This will be held at Paris-Dauphine University on July 8, 2019 from 11:00 till 13:00. Doctor of Sciences (Philology), Professor, Dean of the SUSU Faculty of Journalism Liudmila Shesterkina was appointed the head of this section.
