Programme description: Foreign economic activity specialist is a prestigious and constantly developing profession on the labour market with various fields of application in world trade. The Organisation of Foreign Economic Activity programme of the 38.05.02 Customs Affairs is focused on training specialists in the field of foreign economic activity and international trade, as well as profound learning of specifics of customs affairs.

The professionalism of future specialists is determined by the ability to organize foreign economic activity of an enterprise, keep commercial documents, conduct customs declaration of good and vehicles. The effective organization of foreign economic activity of an enterprise lies in the ability to analyse international logistics, prepare documentary support of a foreign economic transaction, and organize successful interaction with customs and other government authorities.

During the process of training, state-of-the-art software products of the Alta Maximum software package, such as Alta-GTE, Dachshund, are used. During practical classes, students work with the main technical means of customs control.

Annually, at the Department of Customs Affairs, the following events are organized:

  • The Day of the Customs Officer of the Russian Federation on October 25th. Students, staff members of the Chelyabinsk customs, participants of foreign trade and academic and teaching staff take part in the event.
  • Annual international science-to-practice conference of Problems of Economic Security and Customs Regulation
  • Field training on customs control in the Koltsovo and Chelyabinsk customs. Graduates of the department obtain the necessary level of qualification to work in public authorities, at enterprises of foreign economic activity (exporters, importers), transport and logistics companies, enterprises of specialized customs intermediaries, commercial banks, insurance organizations serving participants of foreign economic activity.
