Director of the SUSU China-Russia Research and Education Centre for System Pathology Aleksei Sarapultsev, together with scientists Igor Kritskii, Aleksandr Zurochka, and Vladimir Zurochka, have created a method for performing a screening test for antibodies in tourists coming from foreign countries. During the COVID pandemic, when people had been taking tests for coronavirus directly at airports, scientists had managed to collect a vast amount of data on immunoglobulins in the blood of Chelyabinsk residents and classify those according to their travels “geography”.

Team of South Ural State University has participated in the traditional 62nd “Druzhba” (“Friendship”) Spartakiad held at Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University. SUSU has demonstrated decent results and has come in second in the team rating.
The event’s main goals are the development of mass physical culture and sports among academic and administrative staff members of universities; strengthening sports and research ties between competing universities; and the promotion of physical culture and sports as the most important means of forming a healthy lifestyle.
