Dear students, postgraduates and colleagues! Dear friends!

My most sincere New Year’s greetings to you! This is a wonderful holiday and everyone’s favourite!

In a little while, the year coming to an end will become yet another page in everyone’s life and in our common history. In these closing days of the year, we have celebrated the 80th anniversary of South Ural State University. We have many things to be proud of, along with a huge number of achievements and victories.

Our vast experience in research ensures a well-deserved standing in the scientific and educational space. SUSU is rightfully considered to be one of the leading universities in Russia.

Thanks to the top professionals in our team, and to their ambitions and creative exploration, we obtain significant results and contribute to the strengthening of our country’s sovereignty. I feel certain that we will continue to develop the traditions of quality education, engineering and in-depth scientific research for the benefit of the Chelyabinsk Region and the Russian Federation.

We are greeting the year of 2024 with the radiant hopes for good endeavours and positive changes. It is up to us what the next year will be like. So, first and foremost, I would like to wish everyone to believe in yourself and in what you can achieve.

May all your interesting projects be brought to life, and may new possibilities and bright prospects open up for you! May your golden dreams come true! May your most reliable friends and fellow-thinkers, ready to support you in word and deed, always stay by your side!

With all my heart, I wish you health and well-being, happiness and the inspiration of love! May you feel confident about your future and be full of the creative energy to conquer new peaks! Peace and goodness to you and all your near and dear ones!

Happy New Year!

Rector of South Ural State University Alexander Wagner
