First virtual Photo Museum in the Urals

 

On February 19 at SUSU Technological College German Platonovich Vyatkin, University President, and Alexander Pavlovich Zayko, College Director, opened a new digital photo laboratory.

Ten years ago SUSU Technological College started to train Photography specialists. Today 134 students of five photogroups, who have entered after the 9th or 11th school grade, study two specialties: Technique and Photography Art and Photographer. This academic year all the college equipment is getting renewed: within the framework of technical re-equipment the College got the second digital laboratory.

For the future photographers were purchased seven new Japanese digital cameras, five new computers with higher resolution and plasma screen to display a rich creative world heritage of hundred best photo masters.

At the same day the presentation of virtual Photo Museum was organized, where there the collections of world famous masters and graduates of Chelyabinsk Polytechnic Institution: Yury Teush, Evgeny Tkachenko, Salavat Safiullin and Leonid Pikus were displayed.

SUSU President, German Platonovich Vyatkin, held a press-conference for Chelyabinsk mass media, where he told about the future coming All-Russian Contest of School and Students’ Photography “Soul Ecology”, which was supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the RF. The contest is devoted to the 70th SUSU Anniversary and Environment Year in Russia. The members of Organizing Committee Jury - Alexander Zayko, Pavel Bolshakov and Salavat Safiullin, the only AFIAP member in the Urals - participated in the press-conference.
