Microsoft

Microsoft Corporation is one of the largest transnational companies producing proprietary software for various kinds of computer equipment - personal computers, game consoles, PDAs, mobile phones and other. The developer of the most widely distributed software platform in the world - the family of Windows operating systems. Since 2005 SUSU has become a permanent venue for holding various conferences, competitions, seminars and master classes from Microsoft in the Urals Federal District.

Knauf

Knauf Gips KG is an international innovation-production company. The headquarters is in Iphofen, Northern Bavaria (Germany). The company produces gypsum plasterboards, dry building mixes, PFT plastering machines and heat and energy-saving insulating materials. Collaboration of the University and the company has been conducted since 2004. Within its framework a Joint Scientific and Technical Council has been set up, organizational, methodological and research activities are conducted, joint scientific and practical conferences, scientific research reports are published, specialized laboratories of the departments are equipped with modern instruments and tooling.

Fortum

Fortum Corporation is a Finnish state-owned energy company. The headquarters is in Espoo (near Helsinki). Currently about 40% of the company's employees work in Russia. The company's total investment in the Russian energy sector is 4 billion euros. Annually about 10-20 graduates of SUSU become employees of the company.

Emerson

Emerson is an American multinational corporation included in the 500 largest world companies list (according to "Fortune 500") and headquartered in Ferguson, Missouri, United States. The company combines technology and engineering in many industries and offers technological solutions for industrial, commercial and consumer markets. Currently Emerson has 235 manufacturing enterprises, more than half of which are located outside the US. The history of partnership with SUSU began in 2004, when the representatives of the corporation first visited the university on an official visit. In 2006 Emerson Process Management company, IG Metran and South Ural State University developed unique project: at the Department of Instrument Design was opened the laboratory of intelligent automated control systems for technological plants PlantWeb. In 2016 the president of the corporation Edward L. Monser headed the International Scientific Council of the University, which included 10 leading world scientists in various departments of knowledge. Annually, several dozen of students undertake an internship at the company and after graduation continue their careers with Emerson. In addition, the corporation annually issues grants for scientific development. The results of such cooperation are striking - about 20% of the global technical solutions of the company are made in Chelyabinsk by graduates of SUSU.

С 22 по 27 мая в Челябинске проходит уже ставшая ежегодной – «Неделя спорта». Студенты ЮУрГУ смогут в течение целых шести дней знакомиться со спортивными направлениями на увлекательных мастер-классах, тренингах и тренировках. По словам организаторов, главная цель – привить студентам потребность в физическом развитии.

SUSU Scientists Will Help Foreign Students Start Speaking Russian

Russian education is gaining increasing popularity among foreign students. Today over 2100 students from 48 countries all over the world study at SUSU in different specialties and concentrations. And according to forecasts, there will be more of them in the coming years. It is not surprising because there are comfortable accommodation facilities and all learning conditions for foreigners in SUSU. They have a great opportunity to get acquainted with Russian culture and start speaking "the great and mighty" Russian language.
