Команда студентов из Южно-Уральского государственного университета, ставшая в конце апреля победителями международного конкурса молодых архитекторов в Милане, получили специальную премию КБ «Стрелка». В Ледовой арене «Трактор» в 21-й раз прошла традиционная автомобильная выставка «Уральский автосалон. Коммерческий транспорт». В ней приняли участие более 70 компаний из 13 регионов, вот числе и представители Автотракторного факультета ЮУрГУ.

In 2017 a memorandum on strategic cooperation was concluded between the organizations.
On the roadmap is the creation of a laboratory for additive technologies "Mechanics, laser processes and digital production technologies", led by Professor of the National Engineering School of Saint-Etienne (ENISE, France) and the head of the Resource Center of Special Metallurgy, Associate Professor Marina Samodurova. The staff of the laboratory will include researchers, PhD candidates and graduates of the university, who have sufficient experience in this field.
