On August 31, on the occasion of the Knowledge Day, Matriculation Ceremony-2018 was held at the SUSU University square.

Official part of the event was opened by performance teams of the SUSU Art Center, after which the university Rector Aleksandr Shestakov delivered a welcoming speech for freshman students and their parents.

Students from China Visited Ilmen Nature Reserve

Students of Huanghe Professional Hydroengineering University (China) successfully completed the courses of the Russian language at the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language of ILIC. They celebrated their successful admission to the university in the city of Miass. 

Center for Sociocultural Adaptation organized an excursion with an extensive program:  the students visited Ilmen State Nature Reserve named after V.I. Lenin and Museum of Pelmeni which is the only in the country, as well as had a wonderful rest on the shores of Lake Turgoyak.

September 1st is an important and symbolic holiday for us all, as not a single enterprise would be possible without knowledge. The lack of education, competences and skills makes it difficult to get decently settled in life, or fully express your individuality, achieve success and recognition.

SUSU Invites to Matriculation Ceremony 2018

In honor of Knowledge Day, on August 31, there will be held Matriculation Ceremony 2018 theater festival on SUSU University Square. “SUSU as the start of your success” will become a slogan of the event.

This festival has already become traditional for South Ural State University but this time the specific feature about it will consist in the fact, that the theater prolog will be devoted to the 75th anniversary of the university.

Artifacts of the Bronze Age at the territory of the Southern Urals for several decades have been the object of active research by archaeologists from around the world. Scientists of South Ural State University together with international colleagues from USA and Germany for more than 10 years have been researching a synchronous necropolis (Kamenny Ambar-5), located 280 km away from Chelyabinsk. Achievements of contemporary genetics allowed finding answers for many questions of the earliest history.

SUSU Foreign Students Celebrated Kurban Bayrami (Feast of Sacrifice)

South Ural State University unites students from 48 countries of the world. Among SUSU students, there are representatives of different religious denominations. Students from the Arab and Asian countries told how they celebrate one of the main Muslim holidays — Kurban Bayrami.

Its title refers to the history of Prophet Ibrahim’s faith act. This year the holiday is celebrated on August 21-25. It begins in 70 days after another important Muslim event — Uraza-Bairam (Eid al-Fitr), which marks the end of Ramadan.

A Team of SUSU Scientists Elaborated a Program which Calculates the Time of Materials’ Fracture

Within SUSU’s strategic direction entitled “Fundamental science in the sphere of providing Engineering 3.0”, an interdisciplinary project team of the university’s scientists in a record-breaking period of time (6 weeks) created Kinetic Calculation software product, which allows studying kinetics of chemical processes.

SUSU will Establish Volunteers Resources Training Center for SCO and BRICS Summits

A resources center “House of the Volunteer 2020” will be established at South Ural State University. On the basis of the university, volunteers will be trained to hold international events– SCO and BRICS summits.

Creation of its own volunteer body became possible due to the fact that SUSU won the contest of youth projects organized by Federal Agency “Rosmolodezh” with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The University was given a grant to create a site for training volunteers, as well as organizing and giving classes.

SUSU Scientists Win a Grant for Development of a Unique-for-Russia Experimental Laboratory of Archaeometallurgy

Archeos, Chelyabinsk Center of Historical Projects at South Ural State University has won a federal grant of one million roubles within the frameworks of Times and Epochs festival of reconstruction.

The archaeometallurgy project of the SUSU Laboratory of Experimental Archaeology became one of the nine winners of the historical projects contest under Times and Epochs festival. 108 applications had been filed to the contest.

SUSU’s Institute of Supplementary Education Invites to Professional Retraining Courses
