Employment of foreign citizens as academic staff

When employing foreign citizens as academic staff, the University is guided by the Russian Federation Labour Code, Federal Law No.273 “On Education in the Russian Federation” as of 29.12.2012, Federal Law No.115-ФЗ “On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation” as of 25.07.2002, Federal Law No.114-ФЗ “On the Procedure of Exit from the Russian Federation and Entry into the Russian Federation” as of 15.08.1996, Resolution No.167of the Russian Federation Government “On the Procedure of Providing Guarantees on Financial, Medical and Accommodation Support for Foreign Citizens and Non-citizens for the Period of Their Stay in the Russian Federation” as of 24.03.2003, Decree No.147 of the Federal Migration Service as of 28.06.2010, and other regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation.

To work in our University, we invite foreign academic staff from foreign educational and scientific organizations recognized for their high authority by the international academic community.

An invited foreign academic – a foreign citizen – is an individual not being a citizen of the Russian Federation, holding proof of being a citizen of a foreign state, and meeting the criteria of selecting the candidates.

Candidates (invited foreign academics) criteria:

  • Academic degree of PhD or ScD in technical sciences;

  • Publications in scientific journals indexed at Scopus and WoS databases; and

  • Relevance of the scientific and pedagogical activities to the specialization of the division the academic is to be employed at.

Scientific and pedagogical activities of the invited foreign academic imply:

  • Scientific activities including performing research studies the results of which are planned to be published in top-rated scientific journals; and

  • Pedagogical activities including delivering lectures and (or) holding practical classes for the SUSU students.

Foreign citizens are employed as academic staff at the University on the grounds of:

  1. Application by a foreign candidate to be employed as an academic following his/her own initiative (FORM OF APPLICATION).

In addition to the Application the following documents should be forwarded to the e-mail of the International Scientific Collaboration Department(subbotinati[at]susu[dot]ru ):

  • Detailed CV;

  • Scanned copy of Passport;

  • Scanned copy of the document on education (Bachelor’s Diploma, Master’s Diploma); and

  • Scanned copies of the documents on awarded academic degrees/academic titles;

  1. Petition by the University’s division (FORM OF PETITION).

The following documents should be attached to the Petition of the candidate for employment:

  • Detailed CV;

  • Scanned copy of Passport;

  • Scanned copy of the document on education (Bachelor’s Diploma, Master’s Diploma); and

  • Scanned copies of the documents on awarded academic degrees/academic titles.

The Petition with the package of documents should be e-mailed to the International Scientific Collaboration Department at subbotinati[at]susu[dot]ru
