As part of the grant implementation, a delegation of the university’s teaching staff headed by the Director of the “Digital Ural” Centre for Training Top-Level IT Specialists Aleksandr Gollai and manager of the academic programme for training top IT personnel Dmitriy Topolsky have taken training under the supplementary professional education programme. The programme was organized by the Analytical Centre for the Government of the Russian Federation jointly with the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and was held July 14th through July 18th.
This event allowed the participants to exchange experience with leading industry experts. The structure of the supplementary professional education programme included 3 thematic modules, including a project-based work module. According to the results of the project work, the training participants developed a top-level educational programme in the field of information technology, programmes of academic disciplines / modules for the educational programme.

In addition, as part of the training, the SUSU team visited the development centres of Sberbank and 1C, where they learned about cutting-edge technologies and listened to lectures from key specialists of these companies. This allowed not only to gain relevant knowledge, but also to establish contacts with industry representatives.
“Our goal is to develop an updated academic programme for training top-level IT specialists and significantly expand the participation of industrial partners in the educational process. I am convinced that this will be a serious step forward in improving the quality of IT education,” said Dmitriy Topolsky, manager of the academic programme for training top IT specialists.
