«Экология сознания»: ЮУрГУ начал реализацию проекта по улучшению экологического образа Челябинска и региона

Южно-Уральский государственный университет всегда отвечает на запросы, стоящие перед регионом. В настоящее время актуальной является проблема медийного экологического образа Челябинска, оказывающего негативное влияние на развитие области. Для ее решения Институтом социально-гуманитарных наук ЮУрГУ был разработан комплексный проект «Экология сознания», инициатором и координатором которого является кафедра философии.

Scientific School of SUSU Archaeologists: International Projects and Breakthrough Research

The history of South Ural State University dates back 75 years. Over three quarters of a century, strong scientific schools in the spheres of natural sciences, engineering and humanities have formed here. One of the schools is the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities’ Scientific School called “Ancient History and Archaeology of Forest-Steppe and Steppe Eurasia”.

Master’s Students of ISTiS Elaborating the Concept of Developing Tourism in South Ural Region

One of the key projects in the project-based learning offered by the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service (ISTiS) is called Sustainable Development of Tourism in the Ural Region. Today the network of travel itineraries across South Ural is being expanded, and foreign specialists are being engaged by SUSU to the develop tourism in our region.

Robot-Assisted Russian Language Learning System

Address: South Ural State University Office 301, Sigma Building 78а, Prospect Lenina Tel.: + 7 351 272 31 31 E-mail: kharchenkoev@susu.ru Research Team Elena Kharchenko D.Sc., Professor Dmitrii Katsai PhD, Associate Professor About Under the federal target program “Russian Language”, the research team from South Ural State University has developed a robot-assisted Russian language dialogue system for its further application in online Russian language courses and online education in Russian. The project was conducted in collaboration with the Pushkin Institute. The courses are available at pushkininstitute.ru. The developed robot-assisted language learning system can be used for effective teaching of Russian phonology to international students. The system allows to reduce the time for speech sample assessment by comparing the samples with the correct answers, enabling to teach a significant number of students simultaneously. The system allows personalised learning for every student and supports all levels of Russian language skills. Its multi-cultural orientation (native-language subtitles) enables international students to memorise study material effectively. Results The research team created the “Speech Samples” database that includes over 39 000 audios (110 Russian phonology lessons in total); 4 Certificates of State Registration received; The research results proved the system’s effectiveness in learning Russian phonology. Hard Chromium Plating of Rotating Parts

Address: South Ural State University Main University Building 76, Prospect Lenina Tel.: + 7 351 267 92 73 E-mail: ardashevdv@susu.ru Head of the Project Dmitrii Ardashev Ph.D., Associate Professor Department of Automation Engineering About The project aims to develop energy-efficient technology of applying a hard chromium coating on rotating parts. This method lowers energy consumption of moving parts and machinery, reduces the need to replace parts frequently, leading to reduced waste and improved efficiency. Closed-loop chromium plating allows to reduce exposure and minimise environmental pollution. The project enables to bring substantial benefit to metallurgical and mechanical engineering industries in Russia. The project’s originality is in the possibility of developing chromium plating of big-sized rotating cylindrical parts for various industries where there is a need for increasing the wear and corrosion resistance of machines, mechanisms, and devices (e.g. mechanical engineering, instrumentation engineering, heavy engineering). Project Results Development of the specialised lab facility for hard chromium plating of big-sized rotating parts (up to 320 mm in diameter and up to 4 000 mm in length). The developed technology and lab facility might be used by Ural Engineering Center for the application of a hard chromium coating on rolling mill rolls and hydraulic cylinders. The technology can be implemented in machine tool manufacturing industry within a short time and with minimum expenses as it does not require expensive equipment. Partners The project was financially supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation (Federal Targeted Programme for Research and Development in Priority Areas of Development of the Russian Scientific and Technological Complex for 2014-2020)

Innovative Orthotic Insole

Address: South Ural State University Office 001 60, Soni Krivoy Tel.: + 7 351 267 96 81 Head of the Project Vitalii Epishev Ph.D. Director of Sports Science Research and Education Centre About The musculoskeletal system is a vital part of the human body responsible for the postural balance and movement. It is often negatively affected by intense activities that lead to its various abnormalities. The foot condition has a significant effect on muscles elasticity and viscosity. Food disorders negatively impact the primary functions of the musculoskeletal system and can further have a detrimental effect on the spine. The university research team aims to develop a system for foot diagnosis and a method of foot correction with silicone insoles. The designed FizioStep silicone insoles enable to: restore normal foot anatomy and essential gait mechanics; restore the natural protective cushioning in the ball of the foot; stimulate the biologically active points of the foot creating a constant massaging effect and increasing blood circulation. Results The research team has developed a three-component set that consists of an orthotic insole (four different sizes), a correction device, and a software program. The silicone was chosen according to the Shore Scale based on two factors: no shrinkage (return to shape) and its elastic properties. Anthropometric data on the human foot during the ontogenetic evolution determined the number and height of silicone lamellae. Partners ISTiS Med

IT for Non-Contact ECG Measurement

Address: South Ural State University 60, Soni Krivoy Tel.: + 7 51 267 98 49 Head of the Project Vladimir Kodkin D.Sc. Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Physical Education and Well-Being, Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service Professor at the Department of Automated Electric Drive, Institute of Engineering and Technology It is widely believed that correct ECG measurements can be done when using traditional medical equipment only. However, the research conducted by Professor Kodkin has proved that the designed ECG measurement device allows continuous ECG recording without the attachment of conductive electrodes to the skin. ECG elements and intervals in several leads change significantly slower than the heart rate frequency; they are less affected by registration conditions, and they analyse a broad number of parameters. Results Design of the electronic circuit; Design and development of a prototype of non-contact cardiac event recorder; Non-contact ECG measurement has been conducted for over 100 people and its validity proven; The research project became the winner of the Open Challenge programme (by Moscow Agency of Innovations). As a result, the device is to be commercialised and introduced in public health services. At the same time, Professor Kodkin is working on patenting his invention. Registered patents in the Russian Federation: ECG Measurement Device for Continuous Recording/ V.L. Kodkin, A.S. Khafizova (Patent № 176791); ECG Measurement Device for Continuous Recording/ V.L.
