The education program 43.03.03 Hotel Business provides the training of graduates for the following types of professional activity: production and technology; organization and management; service; research; projects. The key feature of the educational process is the involvement of students in the practical scientific research through the gradual receiving of scientific skills through the preparation and publication of research materials containing the results of research, and participation in academic activities in Russia and abroad. The main fields of research work of the “Hotel Business” Bachelor’s program: client-oriented technologies in modern hotel service; psychological and pedagogical foundations of the hotel business; innovative approaches in designing information-intensive hotel environment; ergonomics and health protection in hotel and tourist complexes.

Cast-iron and steel products are the foundation of mechanical engineering, power engineering, construction, piping industry, etc. Russia is in the Top 5 major steel manufacturers. The enterprises of the South Ural region play a significant part in it. The “Metallurgy” educational programme aims at training the future holders a Bachelor’s degree, who will be competitive in the regional, federal and international labour markets in the field of modern metallurgy. Using the up-to-date educational technologies, the Faculty’s academic staff forms the students’ knowledge on obtaining ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and manufacturing metals by foundry processes and treatment under pressure.  In the 21st century, in the context of the challenges of the new times, metallurgy is undergoing intensive transformations: digital technologies are being implemented, the ecological burden is decreasing (emissions are being reduced), and the work performance is growing (wages are increasing). On January 8, 2019 the Russian Federation Federal Law No. 533-ФЗ as of 27.12.2018, which introduced Article 164.1 into the Russian Federation Criminal Procedure Code formalizing the procedures for the seizure of electronic media and copying information from them in the course of investigations. The appearance of this article was preceded by many years of work by lawyers, including researchers from South Ural State University.

Professional training is based on the disciplines of art history, the theory of art, the basics of museology, exhibition activities and the examination of works of art, as well as on various disciplines chosen by the students, practical classes in the holdings of museums and exhibition halls. The resources of the Art Museum of SUSU, the Information and Education Center "Russian Museum: Virtual Branch" are used. The program is aimed at the professional activity: research (work in museums, research institutes, libraries, archives); educational (work in secondary, special and higher educational institutions); cultural and educational (work in cultural organizations and institutions); expert and analytical (work in art galleries and exhibition halls); organizational and managerial (work in government bodies; local, regional and republican self-government). Field of study “History of National Art” includes not only general professional disciplines, but also special ones, covering the problems of methodology, historiography and the study of history and theory of art. The humanities knowledge that is given in these disciplines, the development of research skills at a new level, can become the foundation for a profession that requires creative thinking, expands the creative and professional abilities of a graduate.

Education program is aimed at forming general cultural and professional competences in accordance with the requirements of Federal State Education Standard 3+, and is also focused on training of highly qualified and competitive specialists in the field of history and history teaching.
