SUSU is Changing to a System of Effective Contracts


A switch is beginning at SUSU to a system of effective contracts. Before September 1st 2016, employees will sign work contracts which take the contributions of each member of the collective in achieving the university’s strategic goals into mind.

SUSU Raised its Position in the Webometrics Rating by Almost 1500 Places

At the end of July 2016 the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities was released once more, published by the leading Spanish research group, Cybermetrics Lab. The rating measures how a particular university is represented in the global internet space. The number of Project 5-100 participating universities in the published ratings has increased once again. In July 2015, only 3 participating universities were in the top 100, in January 2016 - 4, and in July – 5. The best indicator was shown by the Higher School of Economics, taking 711th place.

A Field Seminar was Held for SUSU Project Leaders


A field training seminar was held at the SUSU “Science” camp as part of Project 5-100 in which university staff presented their projects to rector Aleksandr Shestakov.

The International Scientific Council is founded in SUSU. It consists of the world's leading scientists, who have a vast research experience in fundamental and computer sciences, engineering and medicine.

South Ural State University is now officially represented at The portal developed by the 5-100 Project Office is designed for attraction of foreign students to Russian universities. Possibly, for the first time in the history of higher education the most relevant and needed information about advantages of studying at the best Russian universities is posted on the website.

SUSU Rector and Directors of Educational Institutions Discussed Cooperation Prospects


On March 29, SUSU Rector Alexander Shestakov met directors of schools, lyceums and gymnasiums of Chelyabinsk. Alexander Leonidovich told the heads of educational institutions about ongoing changes at the University as a result of its participation in the 5-100 Project. SUSU Signed Cooperation Agreement with Joanneum University of Applied Sciences


South Ural State University has signed a cooperation agreement with Joanneum University of Applied Sciences (Graz, Austria).

Joanneum University is one of the oldest and largest Austria’s universities of applied sciences. Its main campus is situated in the popular student city of Graz. The other two campuses are located in Kapfenberg and Bad Gleichenberg.

SUSU's team is preparing to defend “Road Map”


Representatives of the SUSU Managing Committee for the 5-100 program, chaired by rector Aleksandr Shestakov, is actively preparing to defend the program for increased competetiveness of South Ural University (“Road Map”) for 2016-2020.

Today in Moscow, university program presentations are being analyzed, wording and details of the presentation are being clarified, and strategic prospects for future scientific and industrial cooperation with international experts are being discussed.
