SUSU Students among the Prize-winners of the “Student Sailing League Cup”

The “Student Sailing League Cup” All-Russian Student Sailboat Racing Competition was held at the Shershnevskoe water basin in Chelyabinsk, August 5th through August 7th.

The “Tvoya Privilegiya” yacht club gathered together the strongest student crews from Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, and Saint Petersburg. The participants competed in the MX700 class and demonstrated high level of athletic performance, tactical skills, and team work.

South Ural State University was represented by two teams at once. They performed well at the national level.

The most successful was the result of the combined team from SUSU and USURT (Ural State University of Railway Transport, Yekaterinburg). In the tightly contested race, this crew won the bronze medal and took the 3rd place in the overall standings.
