Students of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language of the Institute of Linguistics and International Communications successfully passed certification examinations for C1 level (the third level of proficiency in Russian as a foreign language) at Pushkin State Russian Language Institute.
“I like the Russian language very much! I was studying it for four years and I wanted to know my results, how good I can speak Russian now. In addition, I need the certificate to enrol in postgraduate studies. I also think that the C1 certificate will help me find a perfect job. C1 is a very high level, but I advise students not to be afraid of taking it! This test will help find shortcomings in training and overcome them,” says Wang Zhenyi, student of the group ЛМ-160.
“The examination turned out to be not that hard as I thought. Why did I decide to pass this exam? The C1 certificate provides certain advantages when applying for quotas when enrolling in postgraduate studies,” says Zhao Tengteng, student of the group ЛМ-260.
The Centre of Language Training and Testing has been organizing preparations for a comprehensive examination in the Russian language, the history of Russia and the fundamentals of the legislation of the Russian Federation since 2006 and is conducting certification examinations for various levels of proficiency in Russian as a foreign language, including for those obtaining the citizenship of the Russian Federation.
“The SUSU Centre of Language Training and Testing has been cooperating with Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, Moscow, for many years now,” says Elena Doronina, Head of the Centre of Testing. “We not only conduct a comprehensive examination and certification testing in Russian as a foreign language, but also organize preparation of applicants for them free of charge. For international students who wish to enrol in postgraduate studies, obtaining a C1 certificate is an indicator of readiness for scientific work in Russian. I think that any scientific advisor would like to work with international postgraduate students of this level!”
We invite everyone interested to take training and certification testing to confirm the level of proficiency in Russian as a foreign language. More detailed information about the exams, where to pass them and submit documents is available via this link.
