SUSU Students Went on Excursion to BETOTEK Enterprise

The Department of Building Materials and Products of the Institute of Architecture and Construction of South Ural State University organized an excursion to OOO BETOTEK for 3rd-year students.

Students of the Department of Building Materials and Products visited the enterprise, which is among the leading ones in the field of designing and production of made-to-order panel buildings, and learned about the only producer of complete reinforced-concrete residential panel buildings as per Finnish technology. Students were demonstrated how the lines on production of the panels and flights of stairs operate, and after that students visited the workshop for manufacturing reinforcement mesh and cages. The excursion participants could see the state-of-the-art equipment by Elematic company in practice, which allows to manufacture decorative elements for external finishing, reinforced-concrete products for built-in-sections and precast frame house building.

Students will be able to apply the obtained knowledge when writing their term papers and final qualification works and projects, as well as in their future practical activity after the university graduation.

Today, students from six countries are studying in their 3rd year of the programme at the Department of Building Materials and Products of the SUSU Institute of Architecture and Construction: Russia, China, Armenia, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq. This event was held for the students as part of their studying such disciplines as Processes and Apparatus in Building Materials Manufacture; Technology of Concrete Aggregate; and Technology of Finishing and Insulating Materials.
