Elimination Round of CASE-IN International Engineering Championship to Be Held at SUSU

On March 29th the finals of the elimination round of the annual student league of CASE-IN International Engineering Championship will be held at SUSU’s Sigma Education Building at 10:00.

This year students of the Power Engineering Faculty and the Faculty of Material Science and Metallurgical Technologies will present their solutions on the issue of Development of the Arctic Region.

CASE-IN International Engineering Championship is a federal case-championship in the course of which students of the major technical universities of Russia and the near abroad are solving engineering cases – practical tasks based on actual production situations in the companies of the fuel-and-energy complex and the sector of mineral resources and raw materials.

In 2018 over 4,000 students from 52 universities will be competing under six sector-related categories: Geological Prospecting; Mining; Metallurgy; Oil-and-gas Industry; Petroleum Chemistry; and Electric Power Generating Industry. New CASE-IN season starts February 20, 2018 and will include more than 120 elimination rounds and Grand Finals to be held in Moscow late in May 2018.

The Championship will be held at the support of the leading companies of the fuel-and-energy complex and the sector of mineral resources and raw materials, such as: SO EES JSC; Transneft Energy, LLC; Rosneft Oil Company PJSC, SIBUR LLC; FGC UES PJSC; SUEK JSC; EuroChem; ROSGEO JSC; MICROMINE; EMCO Ltd.; Siberian Anthracite JSC; EVRAZ; IMC Montan LLC; RusHydro PJSC; NLMK PJSC; RUSAL; Sverdlovskiy Branch of T Plus Group; Saratovskiy Branch of T Plus Group; Prosoft-Systems LLC; Vyksa Iron and Steel Works ‑ OMK.

The Championship is organized by Nadezhnaya Smena (Reliable Take-over) Foundation, Youth Forum of the Mining Industry Leaders Non-profit Partnership, and AstraLogika LLC. The co-organizer of the League on Electrical Power Engineering is the Association of the Russian National Committee of International Council of Large Electric Systems.
