Six Degrees of Separation Theory to be Tested at SUSU’s Anniversary

 

On December 15, South Ural State University is celebrating its main holiday – its anniversary. Teachers, staff, students, and everyone else are invited to the SUSU Activity Hall at 15:00.

Over the years, the university has received a number of congratulatory messages and valuable packages. And on the university’s 74th anniversary, the presenters will receive a special surprise package right on the stage which will come to the university thanks to the six degrees of separation theory. The SUSU Art Center’s best teams will help them with this.

On this day, the stage will host: the jazz orchestra, the Primavera choir, the ballroom dancing ensemble, the Deep Vision dance theatre, the chamber orchestra, and many more. The SUSU-TV in turn will present a “Calendar of Events” to guests showing the most memorable events of the last year.

In addition, the university’s Rector Aleksander Shestakov will present the results of the SUSU Recognition 2017 award on December 15th and will name the winners in five categories.

The grand opening of the Laboratory of Mechanics, Laser Processes, and Digital Manufacturing Technologies (beginning at 10:00) will be held on the same day; Professor Philippe Bertrand from the National Engineering School of Saint Etienne will participate in the ceremony.

Other important events of the holiday will include the opening of the Laboratory of Public Open Online Courses (beginning at 13:00) and a round table entitled “Surface Engineering: Laser and Coating Technologies” (beginning at 11:00).
