Description of the educational programme

System Analysis, Information Management and Processing (by industries) is a specialty dealing with the problems of developing and applying methods of system analysis of complex applied research objects, information processing, targeted human impact on research objects, including issues of analysis, modelling, optimization, management and decision-making skills development, in order to improve the efficiency of the research objects' functioning. The importance of solving the scientific and technical problems of this specialty lies in the development of new and improvement of the existing methods and means of analysis of information processing and management of complex systems, as well as the improvement of the reliability and quality of technical systems.

  • theoretical fundamentals and methods of system analysis, optimization, management, decision making and information processing;
  • formalization and statement of problems of system analysis, optimization, management, decision making and information processing;
  • development of criteria and models for describing and evaluating the effectiveness of solving problems of system analysis, optimization, management, decision making and information processing;
  • development of methods and algorithms for solving problems of system analysis, optimization, management, decision making and information processing;
  • development of special mathematical and algorithmic support for the systems of analysis, optimization, management, decision making and information processing;
  • methods of identification of control systems based on retrospective, current and expert information;
  • methods and algorithms of structural-parametric synthesis and identification of complex systems;
  • set-theoretic and information-theoretic analysis of complex systems;
  • development of task-level control systems, decision making and optimization of technical objects;
  • methods and algorithms of intellectual support in making managerial decisions in technical systems;
  • methods and algorithms for predicting and evaluating the effectiveness, quality and reliability of complex systems;
  • visualization, transformation and analysis of information based on computer methods of information processing;
  • methods for obtaining, analyzing and processing expert information.
