The University currently employs 106 international staff from more than 30 countries and is a culturally diverse place. Visiting faculty are foreign individuals holding a doctoral degree and an academic or research appointment at another institution and who would like to work at South Ural State University for an agreed period of time. The University offers international scholars the following positions: Professor (= Full Professor); Associate Professor; Research Fellow. Depending on the nature of their position, those employed as visiting faculty are expected make a positive contribution to research or teaching activities of the University by: - developing current or future research projects; - delivering engaging and productive lectures, seminars and workshops; - developing innovative research proposals; - training and supervising research degree students. - co-publishing original research in Scopus or WoS journals. Note that the above list is by no means exhaustive. WHO DO WE LOOK FOR? For more information, please contact irc@susu.ru * Extension of Employment Contract Your employment contract with South Ural State University can be extended in case you meet either of the following criteria: high quality of teaching; specialist expertise/experience to conduct a specific project (current or future); co-publications (current or future); mutual interest (yours and of the inviting department); participation in research in accordance with priority projects; participation in joint grant applications. From my experience, SUSU conferences have high industry engagement, which is very encouraging. I have been at a number of universities in the world, but I have never met such enthusiasm and leadership of academic and research staff. I was pleased with the students’ thirst for knowledge and their active social life. I believe that SUSU is a university with enormous potential thanks to its high- quality collaboration, cultural diversity and geographical location. I was amazed by the Faculty of Chemistry and their state-of-the-art Nanotechnology Research and Education Centre. A New Treatment Method of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Syndrome is Discovered in Russia

In spite of high level of modern medicine development many problems of this sphere are not solved till the present. For example, post-traumatic stress disorder syndrome (PTSD) which is a consequence of experienced psychological injury after military actions, bodily injuries, industrial or natural catastrophes poorly responds to drug therapy. Though, scientists of South Ural State University found an alternative method of syndrome treatment.

Industry Leaders Are Interested in SUSU Innovations

An exhibit by South Ural State University presented innovative developments at he main space for leaders of the industry sector – INNOPROM exhibition.

In 2018, INNOPROM exhibition became the main market for industrial technology, equipment, and services for four days. This year, INNOPROM, the main theme of which was digital industry, significantly increased its professional audience. 107 countries took part in the exhibition as exhibitors, delegates, honored guests, and business representatives.

SUSU Students to Volunteer at SCO and BRICS Summits

The international summits for SCO and BRICS will be held in Chelyabinsk in 2020. South Ural State University will become the main location for volunteer training.

Deputy Head of the Extracurricular Activities Department Veronika Livonchik speaks to us about volunteer training and what benefits people can receive by working at the summits.

“Right now, we are preparing a number of international events in which students are actively participating. There are many who wish to join. I think that in the future, they will become volunteers in 2020.”

В России найден новый способ лечения синдрома посттравматического расстройства

Несмотря на высокий уровень развития современной медицины, многие проблемы этой сферы остаются нерешенными. Например, синдром посттравматического стрессового расстройства (ПТСР), который является следствием пережитой психологической травмы в результате военных действий, физических травм, техногенных или природных катастроф, плохо откликается на лекарственную терапию. Однако ученые Южно-Уральского государственного университета нашли альтернативный способ лечения синдрома.

Московский политех изучает опыт журфака ЮУрГУ по цифровой интеграции СМИ

Доцент кафедры журналистики и массовых коммуникаций Московского политехнического университета Елена Перевалова приехала в ЮУрГУ с целью изучения опыта факультета журналистики ЮУрГУ по цифровой интеграции университетских СМИ и обучению студентов  в условиях проектного медиапроизводства.

Студенты ЮУрГУ станут волонтерами саммитов ШОС и БРИКС

В 2020 году в городе Челябинск пройдут международные саммиты ШОС и БРИКС. Южно-Уральский государственный университет станет главной площадкой для подготовки волонтеров.

Заместитель начальника управления по внеучебной работе Вероника Ливончик рассказала, как пройдет подготовка волонтеров и какие плюсы можно получить, работая на саммитах.

− Сейчас мы готовим ряд международных мероприятий, в которых студенты активно участвуют. Желающих достаточно много. Я считаю, что в перспективе к 2020 году они смогут стать волонтерами.
