April 25th a meeting between the representatives of six volunteer associations was held in Chelyabinsk. Currently Resource Centres will be opening at these organisations, which will be training the enthusiasts on how to work at congresses and business events.

At SUSU such centre will be functioning till August of 2020, and the agreement on its creation was signed by Valeria Zasova. Specialists from the SUSU Volunteer Movement Organisation Office – Gennady Budanov, Anna Vuyekova, – and the SUSU Volunteer Centre will be training the young people.
Over the course of the Centre’s functioning, the congresses and business field volunteers will pass through the selection round, will take training and will work at 100 events of different levels. To enrol for participation in these events, the candidates will have to be able to speak foreign languages, know business etiquette and the culture of different countries of the world.
These young people will be handling the organization of cultural and official events, helping the services on accreditation, catering, security and participants’ navigation, etc. As a result of their work at these events, the best of the enthusiasts will be included into the volunteer division of the 2020 SCO and BRICS Summits.
The information on the functioning of the Resource Centre at SUSU will be available in the social media in VKontakte and Instagram, as well as on the university’s website. This information will also include the contacts of the representatives of the organisations to whom it will be possible to address questions on the participating in this project as a volunteer.
The event was held with the support from the Presidential Grants Foundation. In 2018, one of the winning projects was the idea by the South Ural Association of Volunteers, which as a result of the expert evaluation was granted almost 1.7 million roubles for the creation of volunteering resource centres in the field of congresses and business events.
