Scientific Journal of SUSU Included into SCOPUS World Database

International Scientific Journal “Supercomputing Frontiers and Innovations” (SuperFrI) being published at South Ural State University has been included into Scopus, an authoritative international database, having occupied a good position in the 2nd quarter.

“Supercomputing Frontiers and Innovations” has been regularly published since January of 2014. The edition is devoted to innovative supercomputer technologies, promising multiple processor architectures, scalable and highly-parallel algorithms, languages and technologies of parallel programming, parallel and distributed data processing. The journal also covers the issues on supercomputer education and using of high-performance computing while solving scientific and industrial tasks.

SUSU Vice-Rector Leonid Sokolinsky notes that the fact that the journal’s articles are being indexed in Scopus is a very important achievement for South Ural State University, which directly influences its academic reputation:

“The fact the journal “Supercomputing Frontiers and Innovations” got included into Scopus is a result of its high-quality organization. Internationally acclaimed scientists are members of the journal’s editorial board, what allows to do quality selection and editing of papers. Editors in Chief – Jack Dongarra (University of Tennessee, USA) and Vladimir Voevodin (Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia) – are leading specialists in supercomputer technologies.”

A distinctive feature of “Supercomputing Frontiers and Innovations” journal is granting open access to all the published materials. Open Access is a free-of-charge access to full texts of scientific and training materials, without any financial, legal, or technical limitations (for instance, you do not need to register to download materials), and oriented at any type of user of the global information network.
