SUSU Students Win the All-Russian Student Olympiad on Life Safety

April 16th through 18th of 2018, the 3rd (final) stage of the All-Russian Student Olympiad on Life Safety was held at Bauman Moscow State Technical University. The SUSU team won in the individual and team competitions.

14 teams from various Russian cities took part in the finals – more than 40 people in total. The final was held in two stages:

  • Individual competition;
  • Defense of home-prepared projects.

The SUSU team which won in individual and team competitions included students of the Department of Life Safety: Darya Vetrova, Polina Kovaleva, Lidiya Soznova.

  • 1st place diploma in individual competition was earned by Lidiya Soznova, П-489;
  • 3rd place diploma in individual competition – by Darya Vetrova, П-489;
  • The ladies also earned awards in two categories: a 1st place diploma in the team competition, and a 3rd place diploma in the defense of home-prepared projects.

The team’s high achievements are a result of systemic work of the whole teaching staff of the Department of Life Safety, headed by Doctor of Sciences (Engineering), Professor Aleksandr Sidorov.

A huge contribution to the team’s preparation was made by the team’s advisor, Candidate of Sciences (Engineering), Associate Professor Irina Palatinskaya.
