On April 10 through 25 of 2018, the exhibition of The Most Beautiful Books of Germany 2016&2017 is to be held in Chelyabinsk in reading room No.2 of the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Scientific Library (60 Lenin prospect). The exhibition displays the winners of a similarly-named contest, the best edition-bound books of Germany by their design. This is the second time that SUSU staff takes part in organizing such exhibition.
In the course of exhibition, a lecture by Boris Trofimov will be held, during which he will discuss, analyze and present the winners of the contest of The Most Beautiful Books of Germany. This is a unique opportunity to talk about book design with the legend of Russian book design. Participation in the event requires registration.
On April 15 (Sunday) from 12:00 till 18:00, a master class by Boris Vladimirovich entitled From a blank page to turning pages of the book is to be held. The master class is mostly intended for designers but does not requires any special skills and knowledge, therefore anybody who wants to can participate.
