Meeting Between First-year Students and the Rector

A meeting will be held between South Ural State University rector Aleksandr Shestakov and first-year students with high exam scores or who have won scientific olympiads.

Institute and school directors, representatives of offices of international and research activities, and representatives of the Center of Elite Education are also invited to the meeting to show the first-year students the full spectrum of possibilities at SUSU.

“This year within the realization of the 5-100 Project, a scholarship was established for first-year students who have enrolled in the university with high results. The plank for these results is 90 points in every EGE subject, and this year 127 of such students have enrolled at our university. Annually, the university rector Aleskandr Shestakov holds a traditional meeting with first-year students with high marks, and with winners of Olympiads. The rector will tell them about all of the possibilities which will be available for them at the university. All of these first-year students, first of all, will enter the SUSU Center of Elite Education. Students will also be invited to participate in various research projects for scientific and operational activities, so that all of the skills they came to us with from school can be realized,” said the assistant vice-rector of academic affairs at SUSU, Yulia Bolotina.

This year, the meeting will be held on September 7th in the hall of the university’s scientific council (auditorium 1007) at 15:30.
