Meeting of The International Scientific Council at SUSU

Dear colleagues!

Dynamic development and a thoroughly elaborated programme for the university international competitiveness made it possible for South Ural State University to join Project 5-100 two years ago.

The strategic goal of SUSU (NRU) is to become a global leader in the education and scientific community by 2020. To achieve this goal, the university is accumulating the best global practices developing its own individual path on their basis for integrating into the international academic community.

The International Research Council (IRC) was established at the university in 2016. The Council includes 11 world-class scientists and businessmen. The IRC is headed by the President of Emerson Edward Monser. The key tasks assigned to the IRC are expert evaluation and coordination of the scientific and innovative development of the largest university in the Southern Urals and facilitation of its internationalization. The leading world scientists give their expert opinion on all SUSU large projects, consult the Russian scientists and promote the university brand abroad. The Council helps to establish international links with research centers and universities from all over the world, as well as assists in recruitment by inviting foreign scholars and professors to work at South Ural State University.

On June 12-14, 2017 within the framework of a regular meeting of the International Research Council,  President of Emerson Edward L. Monser, Prof. Dr. Panayotis Koutentis from the University of Cyprus, Prof. Dr. Ron de Kloet from the University of Leiden (the Netherlands), Prof. Dr. Jaewan Kim from the Korea Institute for Advanced Study (South Korea), and Prof. Dr. Ashokkumar Muthupandian from the University of Melbourne will stay in Chelyabinsk with an official visit.

The foreign scientists will continue evaluating the research activity held at SUSU and also deliver open lectures on their research areas.

I congratulate you on this world-class scientific and educational event and invite you to take an active part in its work!
