Week of Art Opens at SUSU

The SUSU Week of Art 2017 opened on May 15th. This is a project by students of the Institute of Architecture and Construction for students of our university.

Organizer Kseniya Yanova shared her emotions about the work completed.

“We did this for people so that they expressed themselves, so that they had more art in their lives. Of course we worried a lot, because it’s a large event, but we tried. We succeeded, although there were many problems with finding sponsors, equipment, and signing all of the orders.”

The week opened with the Day of Dance. The SUSU student squads Orange and Red Fox held two dance flash mobs, in which everyone could participate. There was a photo area and various competitions, where the winners got some small prizes.

The event will last 5 days, each of them dedicated to a certain area of art: dance, music, poetry, theatre, and fine art. Yana Zaprutina, the main organizer, talked about her expectations with us.

“I have great expectations. This event has a lot of soul and hard work and many connections were used. I hope that everything will be fun and cool.”

The Week of Art was held for the first time. It was a logical continuation of the Day of Art that was held at SUSU in 2015 and 2016. Everyone has a chance to demonstrate their talent or get to know the art of our university’s students.
