Heroes are not born, they are made!

That is the motto of the annual competition "Mister Campus". It is the third time when young people representing 9 hostels of SUSU Campus get together to organize a real show.

The sport round is already passed. Here the participants have tried their hand at being brave: knife fight, target shooting and final battle with weapon. Also they were looking for maps and sacred flag in the desolate buildings.

While getting ready for the contest the young people have tried on a lot of different characters: the thematical photo sessions "Silver Age" and "London Hipsters" have been organized especially for them.

21 November in the Assembly Hall the final show took place. The organizers chose "heroical" theme as this year is dedicated to Russian history. The heroes of childhood, war, heroes of different times. The first performance, costume opening ceremony dedicated to the war heroes, was really entertaining. Also the defile in mousquetaire costumes was exciting. "All for one, one for all!" said the aprticipants and it confirmed once again that on the stage there was one close-knit team, not nine competitors.

The second round after self-presentation (so called "Visiting Cards") was monologue contest. The young guys were talking on "What the girls want?". And it seamed that there was nobody (out of young ladies) who stayed indifferent after hearing so sincere words on the stage.

The last round was improvisational. "Misters" were improvising on whom and for what they would like to arrange the monument and then in order to implement their ideas they were allowed to get several assistants from the audience. At last the competitive programme ended with dance in cowboys costumes.

We can say that every spectator who attented that event saw the true value of the results of long and heavy preparations (before the contest participants had classes of declamation, choreography and defile performance).

"This event could hardly happen without the help of our active students. We would like to thank Yulya Kagirova, Elina Volgina, Dima Kharin and, of course, our producer Natalya Shirokova", noted Lyudmila Nikolaevna Zadorina, Director of SUSU Campus and Chairman of the Jury.

The winner of "Mister Campus - 2012" Contest became Rustam Ibragimov, he represented hostel 7.2. "Not only me but the whole team of my hostel winned in this contest. I think it happened because we did our best and spent a lot of time to get prepared to the final round and, of course, we strongly wished to win it. Though every participant is unique and worth being the winner", said Rustam.

The sponsors of the contest were the shop of jumpers with universities logo "LevTolstoy", Arena "Epitsentr" and Automobile Dealership "Dzhemir-Centre" - official Dealer of Chevrolet, Opel and Cadillac in Chelyabinsk.
