SUSU choir "Primavera" took part in Russian National Festival "Nevskie Chorus Ensembles" (Video)

From the 27th of October to the 6th of November Russian National Festival of Russian choral music of XX century "Nevskie Chorus Ensembles" took place in Saint Petersburg. For almost 30 years the Festival gets together the best professional and amateur groups of Russia and Eastern Europe countries. This year it was the first time when Chelybinsk showed among the other participants, it was South Ural University choir "Primavera" under the direction of Lopukhova N.M.
 
The choir performed with its own program in State Academic Capella of St. Peterburg and at the concert in Saint Isaac's Cathedral, the greatest architecture monument and the highest and majestic cathedral in Russia the dome of which can be seen even from the Gulf of Finland.
 
The choir performed the music of A. Arkhangelsky, S. Rakhmaninov, V. Solovev-Sedov, I. Denisova, Yu. Falik and aslo the musical adaptations of Russian folk songs of A. Mikhaylov, V. Goncharov and others.
 
Nataliya Mstislavovna Lopuhova, leader and main director of the choir, said: "The hall was crowded and, honestly speaking, I cannot remember any concert with such a warm and fantastic welcome from the very beginning. Of course we were nervous but the atmosphere itself, audience, unique acoustics and the organization of the event - everything was magnificent". 
 
Aleksandr Orlov, monitor of the choir, said: "Some members of our group were in Saint Peterburg for the first time. We got so many positive emotions and the recollections about this city will always stay in our hearts. Besides this Festival gave us a great professional experience as the successful performance at the famous world stages and stages of Russia improves self-confidence. On behalf of all the group I would like to express honest thanks to Lopukhova N.M., our irreplaceable artistic director, for her great work, patience and care and also thanks to our university administration for the possibility to be closer to such a beauty".
