SUSU held open team academic competition in mathematics (Photo)

On the 10th of Novemver there was an open team academic competition in mathematics organized by Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty and Applied Mathematics Department. In the competition 18 teams (4 people in each) took part; they were from five different faculties - Mechanics and Mathematics; Computer Technologies, Control and Radioelectronics Faculty; Architecture and Construction Faculty, Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Computer Science and aslo Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No.31.

The competition was organized in form of team competitions of International Students' Online Competition. The tasks were given to the participants in series and the points for the tasks were inversely proportional to the number of teams who did it. The intermediate results were shown after each round. Such form of the competition makes it entertaining as the uncertainty stays up to the end: the results of one task can determine the end of the whole competition.

Finally, after tough competition, two teams shared the first place: team of group P-341 and postgraduates of Computer Technologies, Control and Radioelectronics Faculty (team leader - Ekaterina Anikina) and team of groups MM-352, 353 (team leader - Anton Belov).

The second place was taken by group MM-532 (team leader Mariya Grishkevich) and the third place was taken by team of Computer Technologies, Control and Radioelectronics Faculty (leader - Oleg Bekhtold).

The best result among first year students was shown by the team of group MM-174 (leader - Arseny Shurunov) and among second year students - group AC-276 (leader - Roman Vayndruk).

The students of Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No.31 (winners and medalists of Russian National Competitions in Mathematics and Cumputer Science) aslo showed very good results though out of competition.

The detailed information about the competition (conditions and tasks' solutions, technical results, photos) see in group “Mathematical competition in SUSU”.
